Woody
My name is Woody and my friends at Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue have taken me in.  I am looking for my forever home.  Here is a little more information about me.

Woodpecker A. Conure here, but you can call me Woody for short. You may think that I look like a Peach-Fronted Conure but I'm actually a Half-Moon -- a bit smaller and the top of my beak is lighter in color. I'm a feisty little redhead with a lot of energy in a small package. Even though I weigh just 81 grams -- a feather under three ounces -- I have every bit as much attitude as the larger aratinga conures, and almost as much voice!

Nobody from Mickaboo knows much about my past and I'm not divulging any secrets. I was brought into a shelter in Santa Clara County recently and, since they had never seen a bird like me before they called the experts at Mickaboo. I appear to be young, healthy and hardy. In my foster home I am eating vegetables and pellets and playing with all the toys they give me. I'm a curious, outgoing bird and like being around people. I don't know any human words but have an impressive array of jungle sounds that I use to call my foster dad or greet the morning sun. I can be a little bit loud at times but, hey, I AM a conure, after all.

As you can see I am a very attractive and distinctive bird with my long tail, slender build, white eye patches and of course my apricot colored forehead. I would like to go to a home where I can get plenty of love and attention from people who will accept me as a big bird in a small, red-headed package.   Please contact Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue to learn more about me!
