Harry in his foster home, with wheels!
UPDATE 2/28/2013:  Harry is doing very well in his new foster home.  He even can get around and go for walks, thanks to the wheels donated by San Jose Animal Care Center.  He will be further evaluated medically, scheduled for a MRI this week.  Donations to BASH for his medical care are greatly appreciated.

UPDATE 2/26/2013:  Thanks to everyone who networked this boy, we found TWO amazing foster homes!!!  "Harry" is now safe in his first foster home where he received a good bath and a juicy bone.  Special thanks to BASH, the San Jose Shelter and Bright Haven for helping us with this special boy!

Harry is now out of the shelter!

To all you Siberian Husky fans, we are looking for a special person to offer a temporary home for this 3-4 year old male Siberian Husky who is currently at the San Jose shelter.

This  dog has some paralysis in his back legs, and will need some rehabilitation, and may even need some "wheels" to get around.  All medical would be covered through the sponsoring rescue group.  What they are looking for is someone to work with, and a loving temporary home for this dog.  He is a gorgeous young dog that deserves another chance!  If interested in helping, please email: [email protected]

UPDATE 2/28/2013:  Both of these seniors were rescued from the shelter, and will be put up for adoption very soon!

Sadly, many senior pets are brought to our local shelter by owners who no longer can care for them.  Two such gentle pets are Sky, a senior Flamepoint Siamese, and a female Lab/Beagle mix who has no name.  No matter what the circumstances are behind these two animals, they have limited time at the shelter due to overcrowding.

San Jose Animal Advocates is networking both of these sweet seniors to find a temporary and/or permanent home for each of them.  Please contact [email protected] if you are can help us save them!
